If you think your child or a child you are working with would benefit from support please contact me. Following a brief telephone consultation, you will be asked to complete a referral form, detailing your concerns and a short behavioural questionnaire, highlighting the strengthens and difficulties you feel your child has. This ensures the correct support is offered.
I will meet with both you and your child to discuss your hopes and expectations around the therapy and to answer any questions you may have.
I am committed to making my play therapy accessible to all.
Prices start from £45 per client session (with an initial commitment to 12 sessions).
Packages of support can be planned for organisations wishing to buy in longer term provision for several children, which can also include bespoke training for staff.
Please contact me for a conversation about fees as I do not want this to be a barrier to any child accessing support.
Although, as parent or professional you will not be directly involved in the therapeutic work you do have a key part to play. Having passed on as much information as you can about your child’s past and present experiences, it is important that you respect the confidential nature of the therapy sessions and resist the urge to ask your child what they did. Be assured that should they speak of anything that may put themselves or someone else in danger, confidentiality will be broken. In such circumstances your child will be informed that this will happen.
It is also important the sessions are prioritised and not missed or denied to the child as a punishment for not 'being good'.
I would also ask that you are sensitive to the fact that Play Therapy can provoke strong emotions, please be sensitive to how your child is feeling before and after each session.
Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the therapy arrangements.
